BigTrombone Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 As part of the countdown to the full schedule release, BOA announced today that the Dallas/ Fort Worth Regional will be on October 5th, and will once again be held at Pennington Field in Bedford. Quote
Guest Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Hopefully we will get a finals round this time! Quote
Magma31651 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 I think that Timber will get top five next year Quote

Samuel Culper Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Top 5 is gonna be stacked! There may be 7 or 8 bands in there! Quote

josephbandfan Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Maybe another Leander ISD school will attend this year? I have been hoping for Leander to come. LeanderMomma 1 Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 It would be quite the feat for any new band to crack the top 5 at DFW, especially if Marcus returns. Quote
Trumpetman7 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 Although prosper placed higher than timber at San Antonio, it looks as though, from the 2 point gap between them at boa bedford, that timber may be better in early season, leaving prosper to catch up towards the end of the season. However the large gap in scores could have just been as a result of not having finals so really all of the scores may not be entirely accurate. Quote
Magma31651 Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Locks: Flower Mound Hebron Marcus (if they go) Keller Timber Creek Proser LD Bell Waxahachie Bubble: Wakeland Pflugerville Keller Central Coppell Trinity James Martin Aledo Duncanville Quote

BigTrombone Posted February 3, 2019 Author Posted February 3, 2019 Owasso H.S., OK will be attending the Dallas/ Fort Worth Regional. immortalBlueOrchid 1 Quote
principalagent Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Owasso is definitely not a lock for finals. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Not really. I think they are most likely but not in the category of lock. Consider that Prosper got 7th at Gnats Semifinals last year and was close to not making finals at DFW. My guess is that they will be in the 7-9 range. We will see if they have a good response to the upsurging of other Oklahoma groups next year and surprise us all. Quote
SpartanBandAlum Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I’d probably have Owasso on the upper half of the bubble. They’re not quite a lock at a regional that’s this competitive Quote
principalagent Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Owasso had a kind of yikes season in 2018. They were 10th at St Louis? Lost a medal at State for the first time in decades? I wouldn’t hold my breath. BlackJesus 1 Quote

josephbandfan Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 For now, I think I will have them somewhere between 8-12. This regional is becoming even more competitive each year. Quote
abtwitch Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Bands that I've seen with BOA DFW on their calendars: Aledo Burleson Centennial (first BOA? (not including Waco whoosh)) Coppell Keller Central L.V. Berkner Mansfield (also has Carrollton ToC on their calendar) Owasso Prosper Timber Creek Wakeland Waxahachie Then add in your more than likely regulars like FloMo, Hebron, Keller, L.D. Bell, James Martin, etc. Hopefully Marcus too. Quote
Majellan Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 I think Timber Creek will continue to get better. Their staff has a great list of bona fides with several of the directors having worked at Flower Mound, Marcus, Keller High and CTJ. Quote
