LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Keller seemed to struggle in the last movement. Maybe that affected their score? Quote
JustARandomDude Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 what i dont get is they tied with hebron for music ge in bedford but they get beaten by an unranked band on hornrank? i dont understand Quote
Nny14 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 what i dont get is they tied with hebron for music ge in bedford but they get beaten by an unranked band on hornrank? i dont understand The judging there was a lil suspect imo. But it's all subjective and it's hard to argue with a caption sweep. Quote
BlueCircle Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 what i dont get is they tied with hebron for music ge in bedford but they get beaten by an unranked band on hornrank? i dont understand A lot can happen in a few weeks, but I’m surprised too. I did see some drill errors and general uncleanliness in Keller’s closer but it makes me wonder how good Bowie must’ve been to sweep captions in 4A. Quote
Rubisco Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Oooh. The results both here and at St. Louis are a bit surprising. I'm going to have to catch Bowie later tonight as well. I was surprised they missed finals at SA last year. Maybe they're rebounding. San Antonio is getting more and more exciting by the minute. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 JJ Pearce and Burleson Centennial are the surprise finalosts in my opinion. I suspected that JJ Pearce might be one to qatch a few weeks ago when I brought them up. Quote

DrumCorpsGeek Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I have a suspicion that due to Henny doing the UIL show as well today, they withdrew from the Finals competition. That show is 100% a finalist. principalagent 1 Quote

LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Since we have 5 of each AAA and AAAA finalists, it will be pretty easy to determine about where people ranked once the finals order comes out. Quote
principalagent Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I have a suspicion that due to Henny doing the UIL show as well today, they withdrew from the Finals competition. That show is 100% a finalist. Yeah, Hendrickson wouldn't have missed in this field. They probably left for UIL. Quote
bingogooberman Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Yeah, Hendrickson wouldn't have missed in this field. They probably left for UIL. wouldn't that have been acknowledged in some way during the finals announcement? not sure what the protocol on that would be. Quote
Band2013 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Hendrickson, had one of the weirdest designed show's today. They still sounded and looked amazing, I am with y'all and think they withdrew from finals. They were one of my favorites today. Quote
principalagent Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 wouldn't that have been acknowledged in some way during the finals announcement? not sure what the protocol on that would be. It's been done both ways. Owasso was announced earlier this season. TWHS wasn't when they missed for a football game a few years ago. Quote
lost Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 James Bowie simply started off slower, and we really let that get to our heads. Now that they’re topping Keller we’re seeing the potential of them this season Quote
Jeffrey L. Gorman Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I have a suspicion that due to Henny doing the UIL show as well today, they withdrew from the Finals competition. That show is 100% a finalist. In all probability Hendrickson told BOA they could not appear in Finals unless they had a late schedule. I just looked at the UIL Region 26 Marching Contest Schedule and Hendrickson had be back at Reeves at 5:00 PM. Their warm up period was from 5:15 to 5:30 and they stepped off at 5:45. Giving them 8 minutes performance time that came to 5:53 and think of how long it would take for the Band to get everything packed and ready to go North almost 100 miles. I am sure their administration felt that this was a extremely difficult task giving the crowds and the time of day. If they Band got Back to Waco, they would have to get ready again with very little probability there had been an rest period for the Band. Unless they were the last Band in finals they were running on fumes to get back to Waco. Please remember that UIL is a school function, and takes priority over NON-UIL activity. I think it is a high compliment to this Band that they are doing 2 events today with heat as it is. I also imagine that if the truth be known, they would have made finals if that could arranged with the time schedule problems. WoodlandsMom4ever and bruhmomentum 2 Quote

BandFan95 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I have it on good authority that that's not what happened. They were planning on heading back to Waco Quote
