I'd say this is very likely, and in both situations it may not be close. There are great groups at both contests, but BA is on another level this year, and Keller's show is the best one they have put on the field. Here's hoping they aren't performing in the same time slot in finals so I can see them! Quote
GetStraightToIt Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Lake Ridge: Noticeable add ons to the show with the voiceovers and have refined quite a bit musically as well. The double tonguing at the beginning of the show was crisp and satisfying to listen to. Great job Lake Ridge. Quote

LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Wow! James Martin!!! I dont claim to know much about band music, but their ensemble sound was so blended and clear. I dont think I have ever heard them sound so good! Quote
betterthanyou Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I'm blown away by James Martin too. I'm a recent graduate and when I was in the band I don't think we sounded that good at any point in my four years. Wow. Quote
Popular Post BandFan95 Posted October 19, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 19, 2019 I’m proud of Hendrickson. They are gonna try and do BOA, then head to UIL later this afternoon. I hope they make finals to head back to Waco! SO MUCH FUN! WoodlandsMom4ever, LeanderMomma and A Testing Trumpet 3 Quote
principalagent Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 James Martin did kill it today. Hopefully they can lock down two medals in two weeks! Quote
BlueCircle Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 WOW Keller was phenomenal! That closer is so good!!! Insane drill and music, absolutely beastly closer. Just need to clean it up. Wow. I’m a biased alum but that was fantastic. There were some tuning and control issues in the ballad but it is 91 degrees so finals will be tighter. That closer is seriously impressive though! Quote
GetStraightToIt Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Keller WOW! First time seeing their show this year and I am absolutely blown away. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I dont love Keller's show this year from a design standpoint but they just slay it. I am blown away by their improvement every year. The closer looks super difficult and still needs lots of cleaning so that is surely what they will be working on before San Antonio. Quote
A Testing Trumpet Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 J.J. Pierce absolutely stole my heart with that show. I hope they do more BOA in the future!!! mmbandfan 1 Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 It really felt like attending a concert band concert in a football stadium. They sounded so nice and pretty! Haha and great soloists! I would love to see them attend some more BOA events. A Testing Trumpet and mmbandfan 2 Quote
Band2013 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Keller will be hard to beat they are musically stunning and visual is so clean. They will be a lock for San Antonio. Quote
BlueCircle Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Side note: Keller needs to bring back their backflip thing they did in 2016-2017 , obviously that person graduated (he was also the SCV Babylon acrobat) but it would perfectly fit the theme this year. Quote
Band2013 Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 This has to be one of the largest stadiums used for a regional. Quote

Camping World and University of Louisville stadiums are about the same size from previous regionals this year. Quote
LostChoirGuy Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Wow, I couldnt even pay attention to Seven Lakes performing because their props were so stunning! Whoever is in charge of their prop design should be proud. That is two years in a row of a fantastic job. Quote
gmtb617 Posted October 19, 2019 Author Posted October 19, 2019 Uh.... Waxahachie sounded good. Seven Lakes also sounded good. I don’t know...I’m typing this at a football game, and it is really loud. And also I had to play stand tunes during the performances. Nothing will stop me from supporting Seven Lakes! Cannot wait to analyze some of these programs for real at finals! Quote
Guest Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 I legit think this is the hardest regular season regional in history to predict finalists for. Quote

BlueCircle Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 Didn’t see Bowie but based on how their season has been going so far, I’m absolutely shocked that Keller didn’t get a single caption. Maybe Bowie was really clean? Quote
