We did half of ours and I noticed Vandy had added part of theirs as well. We probably won’t finish our closer tho til after TMC. Quote

LKendrick Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Still pretty chilly this morning at 42, but the forecast is looking great for the whole day. Quote

BandDad4 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 The flomarching feed has never been great, but what the heck happened after lunch break? It looks awful. It is a blurry mess for me now. The other feeds still look ok, but not Midland. Quote
BlueCircle Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 I love Vistas closer! Is is done though? Cuz if felt short to me. Honestly not a big fan of the almost exclusive soprano sax solo. Quote
yayband914 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Vista Ridge and Wylie East are the clear top two of the day so far, I think. That will change come Timber Creek and Clovis, of course, but I think those will be our top 4 for today. Quote

lost Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Should’ve put more faith in Granbury! Great sound from them! I can see them in a good placement for sure! Quote
LKendrick Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Some really nice performances today so far. Vista Ridge was fantastic, Clovis was super fun, Mansfield was very polished, etc. I’ve got about 6 right now I have in finals. I think as many as 4 finalists could come from this last block. yayband914 1 Quote

ViewFromTheBox Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 So, so happy for this Summit group. In 2010 (my junior year), we marched seven trumpets and three sousas and did pretty well considering the circumstances. To see and hear them now is incredible. Love the show this year and can't wait to see what they do in finals tonight! Quadmom68 and meursault 2 Quote
WalkingCrab20 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Competition was amazing, all groups seemed to improve. But i noticed Del Rio was a little weak compared to their Austin performance. Idk if it was because of Flos audio but hopefully they can get a stronger sound in finals Also Vista ridge show rocked the stadium! My bets they may win in San Antonio. Granbury very impressed me, their show was powerful and energetic! Every band impressed me and cant wait to see what these bands can bring to the plate for dinner in finals! best of luck to all!
