Does anyone have a schedule for this contest?  I haven't been able to locate one online.

I've also been looking for a schedule.  The link on the website is last year's (plus it won't open anyway).  I sent an email to the contact person listed.  I will update here if one gets emailed or posted.

Based on history, I think the top 3 will be (in no order) will be Centennial, Summitt and Richland.

 

The only thing I'm certain about is that it's going to be hot on that field in the afternoon.

Adding Summit to this list...they're coming off of a very strong 2018.  Silly of me to forget them.

James Martin, Highland Park, and Granbury will also be in contention for a medal. Several other great bands here should make for a great finals.

Thank you Funguy02 for the shout out, we do love our bands in BISD. We will not be competing in any events this year, but we always look forward to the Richland/Haltom game and the bands. Richland has a wonderful show this year and its coming together quickly for a very young band. Good luck to all the bands at Mansfield Preview 2019, stay safe and drink plenty of WATER.

Based on history (and some personal experience in the contest) here are some predictions to be taken with a grain of salt.

 

 

I'd expect these bands to be in the top five in no particular order:

Richland, Summit, Lake Ridge, Burleson Centennial, and Highland Park 

 

Richland - will have good design and interesting music. They'll have some cool visuals to go along.

 

Summit - might be the loudest hornline you hear Saturday. They've improved their design and arrangement over the past few years, and had a successful season last year.

 

Lake Ridge - their area is growing and the band will show it. They'll be clean in the feet and have a buttoned up and round sound. 

 

Burleson Centennial - will awesome show design, probably giving a few features to their percussion. Really, the way their show was produced last year was solid musicaaly and visually. 

 

Highland Park - will be CLEAN. They were neck and neck with Waxahachie in the beginning of last year and can't see them not holding up that standard. They'll have a good concert sound on the field, and are looking to return to State Finals this year. 

 

Also to be considered for those spots:

I agree about Granbury. That band has held their own at several contests the past few years. Looking forward to seeing them and everyone perform!

Looking at everyone’s predictions for this contest, I believe many will be very surprised by Granbury. Have seen them at many contest the past few years, and they had a small staff revamp this season from what I saw online. Won’t be surprised if they are in top 3.

I am just so proud of Summit, I could burst! The competition was sooo good. This is the best they've placed since my son started. Of course, he's just a sophomore. My first post, too.
