Absolutely shocked by Duncanville in 6th. And Lebanon Trail up to 4th.

When Duncanville was announced 6th the whole crowd was visibly shocked!

I thought Sachse’s musical execution was just phenomenal. Lovejoy’s visuals were amazing.

I thought all top 4 bands were outstanding! Everyone was stunned by Duncanville's placement. I was too. Gotta give a shout out to Summit! I thought they did wonderfully! ❤️ How do we find out the scores?

Seriously, I have Googled just about everything I can think of, and I can't figure out how to see the scores. Anybody know a website to check?

They will normally post them online but it usually takes a few days or more.

Congratulations to the Lovejoy Band!  What an amazing performance-outstanding musically(love their woodwind feature) and visually impressive too!  Color guard is wow!

 

Great job to all bands who competed in this contest and thanks to That Wylie Band for hosting too!

Judges seemed pretty consistent when judging Duncanville, all 4-6 for music and 6-8 for marching.

not sure how you see that?  Lovejoy was ranked 1 in every category except Music.

 

Actually they (Lovejoy) were ranked #1 overall in Music.  Just one judge had them as #3.

Even as a Summit alum, I don't really disagree with the overall rankings. You really could have put the top three in any order and made a legitimate argument for it. The only weird thing in the recap is the music 3 judge with Summit in 4th, which I didn't really see (or hear), but that didn't really affect the end result.

 

I'll also say that's one of the few times where I've been at a contest where the top spots were not set in stone after prelims which makes everything so much more fun.
