On Saturday the 19th at the Region 16 UIL Marching Contest in Lubbock, Plainview High School Band was awarded 2nd Division Rating breaking a record of 81 consecutive years of 1st Division Ratings in Regional Marching Contest awarded to the Band. The Band which now holds the record for the most consecutive 1st Division Ratings in Marching is Longview High School which was awarded its 70th consecutive 1st Division at the Region 21 Marching Contest in Nacogdoches on Oct 19.
