The day after made up for it i made 100s on both (actually, I made higher than a 100 on my APES exam but they can only enter grades up to 100) so now school's out and...IN YOUR FACE YOU STIL HAVE SCHOOL! ClaireAnnette07 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 9th and 10th grade (for me): -midterms in December, before Christmas break -9th can exempt 2 classes a semester , 10th can exempt 3 classes, 11th can exempt 4 (lower 3 grades: not the same class both semesters), 12th could exempt all both semesters -No more than 3 absences in a class, no unexcused absences, must be passing with an 80, I think -9th grade year: Not required to come to class when exempted -10th grade year: Must show up to school, but will be in a holding room instead (BORING!) -Half days last 3 days of both semesters: 2 exams taken 2 hours each, since school was only 4 hours long. No lunch served -Ended school last Thursday of May This year (11th: Also known as the HORRIBLE schedule): -midterms in January (we started school August 22 I believe, so it bumped us down..) -9th and 10th can't exempt ANY, 11th can exempt 2 and 12th can exempt 3 (9, 10 &11-not same class both semesters) -All students must show up AND take the exam: if the grade helps, it will be counted but if not, it will not be counted -No more than 3 absences in a class, no unexcused absences, must be passing with an 80 (I think that's the only thing that didn't change) -No half days for midterms (Usually, when we had the test during the last week of Christmas break, we'd have 3 half days marking the end of the semester. Now, since we don't have midterms during that time, we didnt get half days last week AND we don't have them in January either...grr!) -Students are not allowed to leave the classroom within the 2.5 hour exams to go to the bathroom -In between exams will be lunch/advisory period, which is 4th period class (luckily I have band, so we'll just practice: I can't say the same for kids who have like, English or something..) -End school June 1, 2006 (At least we get half days for the end-of-year exams...)
