That performance reminded me of the Drinkwater-era Marcus when they were at their peak. The absolute zenith of cleanliness and sounding like a wind symphony on the move. Beautiful performance from Marcus.

I wonder if Marcus keeps a display case with all the various alternate uniforms they’ve used over the years. It would look like Batman’s bat cave I bet.

Pearland certainly isn’t a newcomer to being a top band in Texas.

They have a long standing history of being high performing particularly in UIL and Concert bands dating back to the 70s. Heck, they placed 3rd at State in the 90s.

Having a more BOA centric/style show in more recent years definitely helps.

I probably missed something, but how long have the field judges been allowed past the front sideline? I thought they created a rule against that in 2019?

For many years cedar ridge had been in that bubble status. After tonight they showed that size means nothing when it comes to raw talent! Look at who they are playing after and before! Cedar Ridge is royalty.
