But I did some combinatorics. The chance that the top 6 bands would randomly draw to the last 6 spots is 1/924 or 0.108%.

I think the chance that the top 5 bands draw into the last 6 is 1/132, or 0.758%.

Only one Area B school made it to finals! I was really rooting for Lone Star, they looked and sounded AMAZING at BOA Dallas

I believe it's the same judges for finals tomorrow. Does anyone know if they judge the same caption or do they switch around like at Area?

I think this is very much in the ballpark but it will be so interesting to see where things land when it’s all done. I am too nervous to venture a guess. Dang…stacked final with also some notable bands missing. 
 

All of these shows are so unique…the judges have their work cut out for them. It really was a fantastic day of stunning performances. And one of my favorite parts was hearing from all the drum majors at the end. Band kids truly are the best kids!!

Y’all were amazing!!! It’s just every band is soooo good this year, which makes it harder, but y’all’s run definitely threw down!!!

It is crazy (in a good way) that bands are BETTER after Covid. This year’s 5A prelim was soo good!
