Well I had just gotten into the dome, LoneStar was the only one I heard, didn’t hear cedar or hendrickson. But even if I had heard them, LS puts on a good performance, even early on in the season

How did Hendrickson do?  They’ve been top of my list for a while - VERY fast paced/high energy band!

CP and Hendrickson both were great!  I just love those rotating X's the woodwinds do in CP's show while playing all those notes.  It's incredible.  

Hendrickson is not even the same band that I saw at BOA Austin - what a great trajectory of improvement since the beginning of the season - wow!

I know I said it for the Waco discussion but my goodness the piccolo soloist in Aledo’s closer sounds SOOO INCREDIBLE! Just such a relaxed resonant tone and ease of note changes. Bravo!

Aledo was just soooo good. LT was good but probably not finals. The low brass sounded very dirty to me, especially the ending

Leander sounds soooo good! Such a beautiful ensemble sound and great dynamics! They make the softs sound just as important as the louds. I love the interplay between the horn soloist and woodwinds in the ballad - it just shimmers! And holy tuba low note! I felt that note down to my toes!

Legacy will get back to the state contest, I'm sure of it. The jump y'all made between 2019 and 2021 was incredible. I see a lot of where Summit was in 2017-2018 in y'all's program. Another year or two with your director, and y'all will be a force to be reckoned with. You were much better than your 10th place showing at Area F.

The only thing that will hold you back is that the realignment numbers will likely push you to 6A, which will make the road to San Antonio really hard. But I think y'all can hold your own.

The race to be the first MISD school to get to state a second time will be a fun one.
