i wonder how new areas will affect competition

There will be some superstition.

 

Area B will make you cry,

This sitting and waiting is really a pain,

i simply cant wait for band camp again

 

long hours in the sun with little water

thinking "man, could it get any hotter?"

 

Those days that drag on hour after hour,

All the time dreaming of that nice cold shower...

 

But with band camp shall come marching season,

And we'll know that we did it for a reason.

 

We'll have faith in ourselves and faith in our shows,

and spray our director with a long garden hose.

 

'A state year, a state year" the 5A schools shall cry

and harder than ever before, we'll all try.

 

"Remember the Alamo...dome!" we will exclaim,

"Do the best that you can" I will proclaim.

 

At many a competition I will be found,

Replicating a phenominal sound

 

The other bands will tremble in angst

To be in Finals they'll give great thanks.

 

Then there are those who are on the cusp,

For those crucial points, no one can afford to mess up.

 

Get in the top three, and judging will be hard,

You better not miss the yard.

 

Those judges will have to be quick,

so they don't get trapped by flutes... poor old st. nick
