Leftmarcher28 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Just wanna know what everyone’s thoughts are on Area F after the 2020 season was cancelled for a lot of band programs and do y’all think it will heavily impact the rankings this year. Quote
J-Mike16 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 6A? What programs are in this area? Quote

Dave609 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 If 28 make it to Area, then the bands that I feel have a chance at making State are: The Woodlands (Lock for State) Oak Ridge The Woodlands College Park Nimitz (Probably in a lower spot in Area Finals) Spring Tomball North Shore Klein Oak boysfromdanawf 1 Quote
boysfromdanawf Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 I think westfield has a good chance of making it too. Parkwoodmom 1 Quote
CCisd Band Parent Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Rumor is that The Woodlands is only doing Area Prelims (similar to what CTJ did in 2016) because of nats. Oak Ridge for the win??? Quote
tamago1 Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 If that's the case, I think we'll be seeing Klein Oak or Oak Ridge take the dub OakEm2021 1 Quote
contrabassclarinet Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 I heard from a Woodlands band member that they aren't attending state. Not sure how that might affect the area competition, but it wouldn't surprise me if they decided not to attend area finals either. At least that opens up a state spot for another Area F band to make it to state. Should also be interesting to see how a state finalist spot opening up should affect who makes state finals. Quote

BravoBand Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Looks like all 6A bands from Region 9 received straight 1's today. In total, 26 bands qualified for Area F which should mean 5 will advance to state this year versus 4 spots in 2018. In combination with information above that TWHS is not attending state, there should be at least 2 bands going to state from this area who didn't qualify in 2018. Guest Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Look out for Westfield, probably the strongest, most agressive performance I have ever seen from a band of under 70 winds. Quote

boysfromdanawf Posted October 21, 2021 Posted October 21, 2021 Since there are only 23 bands attending, wouldn't it be 4 spots for the SMBC? Or is it because 26 qualified? Quote
