Area Contest

Hey everyone this is my first time trying to go to an area contest, do you have to have tickets to watch area contest?

Normally Region competitions are free (or very very low cost), area competitions cost a little bit more, and State is fairly expensive.

Yes.  Had to buy Region tickets online for $5 or so here.

Legacy stadium on Saturday I don't know the area name

That is Area I.  The Area I website doesn't give details about tickets, but you can probably expect to pay $10-$12 for entry.  Some Areas are doing online presales, but Area I doesn't appear to give any such info.

Area E 5A, Area I 6A

Area ticket costs usually vary depending on the different stadiums - some are $5 per ticket, others are $10-15, just depends on the stadium.

Any idea of the percentage that goes to uil vs. the host school/district?

Gate tickets all go to UIL, I believe.  Concessions go to the hosts.
