bored2damax
We will be doing honor band but we dont get our UIL music till after Februar 2 because we have a winter concert. Winter concert is different from christmas concert. well the songs that we are going to be playing for wintert concert are "Allerseelen" by Richard Strauss, "Fanfare for a Festival" by Carl Strommen, "Whirr, Whirr, Whirr!!!" by Ralph Hulfgren, "Echoes" by Samuel R. Hazo, and another song. We didnt get the last song because we had to leave for christmas break and our deirector just ordered the song. Xenon
It would be really nice if we could turn this list into another section of the site similar to the Directory and Media sections that way we could build the compilation over a period of years and it would be easy for anybody to look up what bands played what it what years. This should probably also include all the songs that a band played and just put a * or some other indicator next to the songs that were played at UIL and/or Honor Band. Maybe we could even list the accomplishments of that particular band along with it. As for Duncanville, so far this year, the Wind Ensemble has played the following at the Midwest Clinic: Blue Lake Overture - John Barnes Chance Contemplation - Elena Roussanova Lucas Don Ricardo - Gabe Musella Flight - Brian Balmages Lux Aurmque - Eric Whitacre Overture to The School For Scandal - Samuel Barber arr. by Frank Hudson Requiem - Guiseppe Verdi arr. by Merlin Patterson Technicolor Pachyderms - Brian Beck The Federal - John Philip Sousa arr. by Timothy Rhea The Painted Desert - Philip Sparke Today is the Gift - Samuel R. Hazo I don't know what they will be playing for the TEA Conference on January 30th or for UIL.
