Yeah, we do make some exceptions to the rule. We did have 3 drummers last year that ended up getting sponsored by a staff member.

The point is, that Frontier is full of students, band directors, and professional msucians. So someone under 18 is going to have to come prepared and mature.

But we do welcome DCI aged members who can't afford to take the summer off to march a DCI corps (School, finances, etc).

Actually one of our lead baritones last year is a lead baritone with Capital Regiment this year. She came to us after being cut from Bluecoats last year and gained the experience she needed to make a Division I corps for 06.

Hey!

Yes, Frontier has a cymbal line! And we have a fantabuloso cymbal instructor, Heather Appleby, who marched Sky Ryders. We call her the Cymbal Goddess.

Come on out on January 28th at South Grand Prairie High School. More details are on our website (link is in my sig below.)

We marched 2 Cymbals last year, and right now have 5 rehearsing.

Auditions for all sections of the corps will be continuing over the next two practices and then contracts will be started. You can audition for open spots anytime in the season, but most spots in the corps will be closing over the next month.

Frontier broke records last year, and this year is looking like it will blow year 1 completely out of the water

Frontier's next rehearsal is this Saturday, January 28th at South Grand Prairie High School (Dallas/Fort Worth area.)

We are currently figuring out how many people we are marching in each section, so there are still 'openings' in every section. Our first rehearsal on January 14th was extremely exciting--everyone is very eager to keep working on the show this weekend. We are currently working the music for the closer ('Fire Dance') and may start some of the second part (of 4) of the show this weekend. ('Fire Requiem'.)

Check out the Frontier website for more information, rehearsal times and a map to SGP HS. www.frontiercorps.org

Thank you so much for you kind words, Andrew.

It's very good to get the support of our community.

Come out and see us at the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival on April 29th at 8pm (just before the event headliner) on the Festival stage. That will be a standstill performance.

Our first public performance of the field show will be on Memorial Day at our Friends and Family event. Location TBA.

Love all around

TSU.....cool. We have an alum or two kicking around in our group. Come check us out this weekend. We could always use another horn player.
