I feel like Vista is solidly in the finals.  I think Westlake has a decent shot (similar to Rouse, Hendrickson, maybe Leander).  I think the top 10-11 are pretty predictable.

How are panels decided? And how do you know which bands are in which panels?

Panels are posted alongside the schedule, not sure which page someone can direct you to them.

BOA does their best to sort them based on past success and randomness, lots of talk about them being “uneven” but it’s just talk that happens every year.

They alternate between block, with the occasional one off depending on scheduling hiccups.

They were great, not sure I would put them above some of the other 5As that did well tonight (I think all the usual 6A suspects will make it for sure).

No matter how it ends up, Keller should be incredibly proud of what they did tonight! You made myself and a ton of my alumni friends (who previously didn't even care for this show) incredibly proud and in awe of the quality of performance that just happened! Go Big Blue 💙

I think everything’s about the same with people spelling more confidence for Leander and Keller, and a little less for Hendrickson and Rouse although all are still in very good contention and had wonderful shows.

They are by time slot and are already determined. There are 2 panels each panel will grade bands and the top 5 in each will be in finals followed by the next 4  Regardless of panel. This allows judges the ability to judge fairly as their are to many bands to judge in one panel with the hope it will avoid some anomalies.

What a way to end day 1! Great show from Flower Mound, always giving you entertaining visuals and oozing with pure musicality. I absolutely love their version of Daughtery's Red Cape Tango! It's only 2nd to Plymouth-Canton's version from 1999.

Flower Mound is always one of my favorites. Just so consistently creative. The drill lacked a bit of variety for me (a bit too blocky) but I’m nitpicking! Guard is still fantastic after their director change.

Love their concept, the music is great. I do think the drill lacks character but they will not have any problems performing well in finals and State.

Keller was really good. Musically they're sounding just as good as they always have and I thought they weren't too bad visually. Definitely some dirt here and there but I won't be surprised if they're a finalist tomorrow, they haven't missed finals here in a very long time. Flower Mound has the most creative show I've seen this year, and I have to commend how well they've executed the Superband theme. They are just SO clean both musically and visually. I have to admit the drill can be rather plain at times, which I think will hold them back a bit, but I'm sure they'll be in the top half tomorrow night.
