Good draw for Vista! I have really grown to love their show this season!

I think prelims looked like this based on the awards and finals draw:

Panel 1:

Ronald Reagan

Flower Mound

CTJ

Marcus

Keller

Panel 2

Hebron

The Woodlands

Vandergrift

Vista Ridge

Cedar Ridge

Next 4:

Coppell

Cedar Park

Round Rock

Pearland

I wonder if we're gonna see any movement between the two halfs, or if it's more set in stone.

There is virtually zero movement between the bottom and top half. The last time I can remember that happening at San Antonio was in 2017 when Reagan jumped from 8th to 5th. One of the downsides of the bottom half/top half draw in my opinion, but if we were to see that type of movement again I do think this could be the year, as there are some very good bands in the bottom half.

Feel like BOA places too much scoring potential on size. Cedar Park is the only ‘3A’ school to make finals and their band just so happens to be bigger than most 4A bands.

Perhaps, but I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that larger groups are able to add more showstopping GE elements and more complex musical packages.  Just because it's not exactly fair doesn't mean that the large groups don't deserve it.

BOA SA has been very 4A dominant in the last 10 years or so. Most years it was really unfair to count leander as 3A given that they were 6A at the same time.

Bitter, party of one!

There isn't a single band in Finals that isn't excellent.

You will see many of the same bands in Finals on Tuesday and the UIL system is very different from BOA. These bands excel under both systems because they are among the best high school bands in the country.

……to be fair UIL did change their sheets to be more BOA-like as of recent.

Was their comment bitter? Sure. GE does way too much I think though. It should probably be less.
