Professionalism! This is a show that I had a feeling would probably be a late-bloomer. There's just a lot going on at once, and so it takes some time for everything to click performance-wise. I think it came pretty darn close to clicking tonight. This is a show that thrills you, but also tickles your brain. The visual program is very Bluecoats, as has already been said a bunch. The last statement is so exciting musically, when they do that final forward push, with that super DCI-ish trumpet soloist. If there is one thing they should focus on for next year, I'd say it's guard recruiting, just creating a little bit better of a balance there in terms of numbers. Agreed! Vista was incredible i hope they will find away to recruit more guard. It is the only way to win BOA SA and even medal at GN. They are almost perfect just need some visual components. Popular Post BandFan59
So glad Argyle has decided to enter the BOA world! They had such great sounds and those soloists, especially the flutes, are super talented! Loved the autumn theming and uniforms and hope they continue to pursue the BOA avenue in the future! jetliner
Now I don't have data at my fingertips or anything, but I reckon 15 hours and 18 minutes is the largest time between performances on the same day? Tubalord11
Wanted to just say congratulations to everyone! This is the best SASR by far!!! Nothing but pure, raw talent was shown today! Texas remains the best state of high school marching band, and will for decades to come! No matter the results, everyone should be proud of what they did today! Go Texas Band!!!!! Somewhere in Austin, there's a good Christian woman clutching her cross and hyperventilating, but I can't get enough of this Cedar Ridge show. Commitment to character, indeed! I love when the flute soloist in the opener stops playing, and then she kinda crouches down like some sort of creature herself. 😄 She also has a DVD of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame for her grandkids and has no problem with the gargoyles in it. 🙄 FloMoParent and Vidal28

If they just get some more members and are able to keep getting better with show design they will be in finals for both UIL 5a and BOA SA one day soon. lost
It’s rare we see a UIL band make the leap to the BOA world with such commitment. BandFan59
Great performance by Pecos to wrap up the day! That sax soloist in the closer was incredible, and for a class A band they produce great sounds that are really full and balanced. Awesome job! I got the chance to be in multiple contests that they were in, including Sounds of Fall, UIL Area, and UIL State! I'll always remember when we finished 2nd to them in 2018 at Area, and to think that Melissa and Argyle were the top 2 for a bit in 2020 and 2021 😆!
