If you’re a Hendrickson band member, you guys were GREAT!  So much energy and great performance, glad you like seeing the comments!

For years the Hendrickson kids had to deal with show designs that weren’t up to the level of their ability to march and play. Definitely not the kids fault and it’s great to see they are no longer saddled with that additional load. They really look and sound like they are enjoying themselves.

I agree that it would be nice to see more dynamic range demonstrated. They are not the only band that applies too. It seems to be the theme of this year’s SASR. As more band are achieving “The Big Hit”, for many it seems to be coming at the expense of dynamic range and sometimes also that wonderfully sweet Texas tone that wows the crowd in Indianapolis.

No matter how this shakes out in San Antonio, Hendrickson will represent Texas extremely well at Indy!

Vandergrift!!! What an incredible show!!! Head director change and they are still just this fantastic!!! I don't know where they will place. still thinking top 7 but idk about top 3, but a great run regardless!!! And those snares!!! And to those who read this, not saying top 3 isn't possible, and I'm watching on box5, but everyone is so good, but still definitely possible,

Vandegrift grew on me ALOT since I last saw them. Wowwww.

Vandegrift much stronger than Area and you can tell they are fighting to medal! I love the demand of the show I am glad their directors know how to push them.

I definitely thought they looked their best at night during BOA Austin. The colors popped so much!

With the rate they're going, Vandergrift seems to be in position to take the eagle back to Texas again the next time they go to nationals. Absolutely breathtaking performance!

Vandegrift was outstanding! Musically they were the best band of the night so far and you could hear the technical demand in the opener with the amount of runs in not just the woodwinds but even the high brass. Woodwinds were sublime and for them to be able to march so many performers yet still be so visually clean with good marching technique is remarkable. I especially loved that triumphant sounding ending with the dance team in the background! Had no doubts about them performing well this season even after the director change because VanDoren is an excellent director, but that was really something!

Vandegrift has so many amazing visual GE moments (on top of being one of the best playing bands in the country).  I don't understand how they get a band that size to always look so clean.
