Judging by how Richland did at area, I’d say they’re a pretty solid contender for finals. They also made it here in 2019, so they’re no stranger to this contest.

Even though they had a rough showing at BOA North Texas, I think CH has a solid shot. If I remember correctly, they were top half musically and visually last year at this contest

Just heard from a Hendrickson student that the band has decided to drop Waco. Too many kids, as well as the head drum major are sick. Very disappointing as they were my most anticipated band.

I really hate this for these kids.  Especially the seniors.

I also saw on hornranks that Leander recently lost their booster president?  

Just horrible.  I don’t want this kind of news heading into this competition.  Check that…I don’t want this kind of news EVER!

Good morning everyone! We are at McLane Stadium! I’ll be here for first two blocks of prelims( which are now over) and finals!!! I’m so excited for our exhibition performance! Here’s my rankings for the first block from 1st to last 

 

First block;

McKinney North 

Richland

Georgetown 

Pieper 

Granbury 

Waco 

Meridian 

 

McKinney North was incredible and Id be surprised if they don’t make finals. Richland also has a shot but none of their elctonics and mics were working, so there were some moments of silence but we will see. Overall great first block

McCallum and Hays were both amazing, but the weather definitely got to Hays more. Lovejoy just had the best run of their season! Would be surprised if we don’t see these 3 later! Another fantastic block!

what about other possible finalists in the first two block?

Richland definitely has a shot, but the weather seems to be coming in and out, and it was very cold when they went and windy, and their mics and electronics weren’t working. Argyle was good but again the wind just killed their sound, and they had one cover down issues as well. But those 6 are probably the only potential finalist so far in my opinion.
