mindfulmusician Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Yeah, I have also heard it at Eric Whitacre's site, and unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. However, mnkyman, I will share your sentiments that it is a very awesome song indeed. - mm Quote
GuitarJoe Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I think it was one of the Plano schools that did the Godzilla Eats Las Vegas shows, although I'm not sure which one. Plano Central maybe? Anyways, our top band played that piece for our spring concert my junior year. I was suprised at how difficult it actually was. Nevertheless, it is an awesome piece, but what Whitacre piece isn't?? Xenon Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 There is no Plano Central HS. There is only Plano, Plano East, and Plano West and Plano would not have played it because they are a Jazz only marching band. Quote
itsstephenyo Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 very, very fun piece. when i played this at the meyerson, i made the dog noises. i held up a little dog mask and everything. it was awesome. Quote
GuitarJoe Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 I did some asking around and it was Plano HS that did the GELV show. I know this guy on the TCU drumline that went there and he used to talk about it a lot. Actually, people used to make fun of him for it... Quote
