We all love competition marching bands. What the students and staff do every year through love, determination, perseverance, and pride is monumental. But I think that there is much more being achieved outside of contests in marching that we don't discuss here. So, here's a thread to make everyone feel amazing. 

 

Find something heartwarming or inspiring, stick it in this thread. Everyone needs their heart warmed or to be inspired. 

Here's my submission to get it started. Listen to these kids talk about marching, difficulties, and music. You also get a glimpse at the passion of the director.

This story is from last May.  My son is the new assistant band director at this school now, and is excited to be working with both a terrific head director and at a school where the administration supports and really understands the value of music education:
