MikeKyu Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 We all love competition marching bands. What the students and staff do every year through love, determination, perseverance, and pride is monumental. But I think that there is much more being achieved outside of contests in marching that we don't discuss here. So, here's a thread to make everyone feel amazing. Find something heartwarming or inspiring, stick it in this thread. Everyone needs their heart warmed or to be inspired. Here's my submission to get it started. Listen to these kids talk about marching, difficulties, and music. You also get a glimpse at the passion of the director. https://youtu.be/zdairZUA3pg Quote
Popular Post J-Mike16 Posted August 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 26, 2022 I loved that video!!! I guess I will go next. I am sure everyone has probably already seen this video, but it does exactly what this thread is for, to be heartwarming and inspiring. gregorydf01, takigan and MikeKyu 3 Quote

AllenBandDad Posted September 2, 2022 Posted September 2, 2022 This story is from last May. My son is the new assistant band director at this school now, and is excited to be working with both a terrific head director and at a school where the administration supports and really understands the value of music education: https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/i-truly-went-in-as-a-beginner-frisco-middle-school-principal-has-been-learning-clarinet-all-school-year-with-6th-graders/287-fda2d06d-d40d-4129-a57f-8e884b8fe0a2 gregorydf01 and MikeKyu 2 Quote
MikeKyu Posted September 30, 2022 Author Posted September 30, 2022 This is a great story. Well worth watching the video instead of just reading. This girl, parents, and director are all inspiring.https://www.keloland.com/news/eye-on-keloland/eye-on-keloland-marching-to-her-own-beat/ LeanderMomma 1 Quote
