FormerWildcat Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 Canton HS - Revolution Love all the mechanical touches! Visually spectacular: near perfect precision leads to a phenomenal impact. Musically strong yet controlled, although there were occasional phasing issues. Great shot at yet another state title. Quote
FormerWildcat Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 Melissa HS - Bon Appétit Great theme with the Parisian restaurant. Its not often you hear a tuba soloist, and this one does a phenomenal job. Visually quite clean, if less demanding than I was expecting. Challenging stuff musically that occasionally sounds a bit rough around the edges. Dave609 1 Quote
Dave609 Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 can't wait to see the results! I'm most surprised that more 5A/6A schools competed at the contest. I remember when it used to be 2A, 3A, 4A, and sometimes a 5A or a 6A School would be there. So glad to see this contest getting more time in the spotlight! Quote

LetsGoBrandon Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 The only thing that will probably hold Argyle back is their size. They have the design and talent to be compared to the top dogs in 5a and most 6a schools but they need more members to compete with them in UIL and BOA. Dave609 1 Quote

I think next year they will be a force in Area B. Quote

If there ends up being only 7 bands in finals, I would be less confident on my prediction that Emerson will make finals. Expand My bad I meant top 10. I mean maybe top 10 is possible but after tonight’s results maybe. I’d say there objectively 10 bands in that area that are better. Quote
