just verified with the recap link posted a minute or two ago:

cy woods: 18th (up from 33rd last year)

bridgeland: 19th (up from 24th last year)

cy fair: 30th (first state appearance since 2018)

edit (forgot to add this):

cy woods 2022 is now tied with cy fair 2014 for closest cfisd show to making finals (4th out) since langham creek made it in 2006. super impressive with the competition this year.

Hebron getting tanked in Percussion and C/D is interesting to say the least. With that being said, they pulled the last performance slot in finals, so there's a prime opportunity for them to just wow the judges off

Percussion is believable, and I don’t see it moving up too much in finals at all. Cont/design though I believe will shore up to top 5 or better in finals imo

people should also keep an eye on Marcus percussion. I believed it to be their trump card coming in as they are right up there with Cedar Ridge in 2nd. It’s not settled there just yet!!

I feel like, if there was ever something to call a fluke it's the C/D scoring. Percussion makes sense it's not their strength, but the C/D scoring is just off.

Similar thing happened to Cedar Park in 5A last year, tanked in one caption both prelims and finals but still won off sweeping the others.

Have to say Coppell in 11th for percussion is criminally low, they have one of the best percussion programs in the state. Expected them to be up near Marcus, Cedar Ridge, and Vandegrift in that subcaption.

I dislike Content and Design as much as I dislike Visual General Effect. Why? The students have no, none, zero, zilch control over this. It becomes a glory spot for the directors and design teams. Are they part of the organization? Absolutely. Should they get a judging slot with such weight? No.

Coppell’s perc score went from 2nd/3rd place last year to 11th this year. Not sure why, the program seems to be very good still.

For having an amazing percussion program the design doesn't have enough exposed percussion passages to really show off their sheer talent. I think to an extent it's the design they were given, they could've demanded more from their percussion and they would have delivered but they played it safer and didn't get to show off as much as other bands.
