Another exciting day at the Alamodome!! Good luck to all the bands that made finals! I would hate to be a judge for these kinds of competitions, there were so many great bands I wish everybody could go to finals 🤣❤️.

Maybe unlikely but it’s how it panned out:

Woodwinds (13) Brass (16) Percussion (14)

It looks like going 3rd in the AM hurt them (same trend happened in 6A). Also, I don’t think the UIL penalizes scores based on rifles left on the field.

I’m a member of the Aledo Band, there was no penalties, we had a decent run, not our best performance, but I still believe we deserved finals. Our performance time was not very desirable either though. It sucks that we didn’t make finals but my best wishes go out to all the other bands!

I'm very new to this but I've noticed the scoring is different for UIL than BOA, and the big advantage that Rouse has in Visual and Design didn't have as much weight as in BOA competition. I also didn't realize how seriously the Leander ISD schools took marching band with all 5 schools being among the top bands in the state. 

 

It's amazing how well all the bands played. The amount of work, teamwork and commitment will carry over to their adult life.

Area B- 3 Bands- Wakeland HS, Lone Star HS, and Lebanon Trail HS

Area C- 1 Band- Forney HS

Area D- 1 Band- Robert E. Hendrickson HS

Area E- 1 Band- Friendswood HS

Area F- 2 Bands- Burleson Centennial HS and Richland HS

Area G- 1 Band- Roma HS

Area H- 3 Bands- Cedar Park HS, Rouse HS, Leander HS
