Redoing my predictions:

1. Rouse

2. Cedar Park

3. Leander

4. Wakeland

5. Forney / Aledo

6. Forney / Aledo

7. Hendrickson

8. Colleyville Heritage

9. Lonestar

10. Friendswood

11. Burleson Centennial

12. Jack C. Hays / Foster / Richland / Roma

I can’t decide who 12th will be, so I’m listing groups I will keep an eye on. However, I am also keeping an eye on McCallum since I know they advanced 2021. I know they haven’t been doing so good with BOA; however, the way UIL is judged compared to BOA is very different, so I have high hopes for McCallum.

Yes unfortunately so… been that way for a while but it’s really hard for the other bands to get past the likes of Wakeland and Lonestar

Area B is hella difficult. I am worried about the rest of the groups. I do have Wakeland and Lonestar in the advancing to state predictions, but I’ll make sure to watch the other groups. I know Argyle is doing wonderful, so maybe they’ll advance. Who knows, also McKinney North is someone I’m excited about since we see them for a football game (unless something happens).

As someone who participated in area b, it definitely is. I think Lebanon Trail should make it to state, and probably Argyle. North’s show is more of an entertainment product than a marching band show imo, and I could see them having great success this weekend at boa prosper, and could see them making finals there, but it’s a very hard show to judge with UIL scoring, especially marching, but we’ll see how they do. It’s a great show and I’m very excited to see them tomorrow

Their music is gonna be easy to rank/judge for the judges, its more of the marching and combining of both aspects that will probably drag them down if they arent clean, now if they make state they will have better placements due to ensemble music category and content, but their goal should be to make state, afterwards they could maybe make state finals if state goes well for them

I keep forgetting they’ll be there tomorrow. Do give input on how they do in the BOA Prosper form! I am excited for tomorrow, and how people will react to what we have added / removed (we did remove some stuff in order to add other stuff, but I’m not gonna spoil).

I haven’t heard much either besides looking at contest results, but I would say they are doing good! I’ll be redoing predictions after Region / Area is over, and I know which groups advanced to state.

I think Colleyville regressed a little from 2021 but they are still really good

Plus Forney and Lonestar beat BC at BOA Dallas last week. Even in UIL contests, it’s Forney and Lonestar over BC.

Ngl BC is going to overtake Forney and Lonestar soon if not already. They just beat Aledo at Birdville (3/5 captions and winning music in prelims) and Aledo was a Dallas finalist ahead of both Lonestar and Forney.

it truly depends on the run and the judges. knowing how things go, it’s either going to be Aledo > Forney > LS > BC or Forney > Aledo > LS > BC for state. I love BC, but putting them over Leander is an overstatement.

plus Forney beat Aledo at HEB, but we’ll see how everything goes.
