They're not a very large band, but boy do they produce a huge sound! Their soloists and front ensemble were COOKING! Loved the varied heart-shape sets sprinkled throughout their show as well. Great job! Quote

Band2021 Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I was able to see Glenn! Great sounds coming from this band! They are still growing their tradition which all new groups have to overcome. Philip Gieger of westfield once told me that any band that wants to have a lasting legacy must have a tradition that you can see in their marching and hear in their playing. He used ronald reagan as an example which was his biggest competitor in 2000's. Glenn will no doubt follow in the footsteps of other Leander bands. There must be something in the water. Quote
HeBron James Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Glenn’s front Ensemble gave me giggity goosebumps. Such an amazing show presented before my eyes. Thank you Glenn. Thank you #hebronontop Dallas Hobbs 1 Quote

jetliner Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Man I wish tonight didn't run quite so late. I was able to take the bus for State Prelims on Monday (and will do do next Monday too), but the last bus of the night is at 9:38pm. The cost of parking felt like I'd been shot knowing when the bus works it saves me that much money. Quote
GeekBoy54 Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Great showing from Keller Central! So much high energy and intensity, this was definitely the best show they've had. Dallas Hobbs 1 Quote

Popular Post GeekBoy54 Posted November 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2023 See you in finals Cedar Ridge. Fantastic run! They had something to prove after not advancing to state, and they did an incredible job! Austen, AgMarchMom and FaultLineBlues 3 Quote

Expand I know the show is intended to be based on a younger, more carefree Medusa, and I think the bubblegum was just used because of it conveying some of those ideas, and to develop the overall color pallette of the show. symphbee 1 Quote
Band2021 Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Cedar Ridge had an amazing run clean and precise you can tell they are hungry to prove that they are not a group to be counted out! Also percussion and guard are the clear stand out here they are fantastic. Right now panel 1 is looking to be a shut out. Austen and FaultLineBlues 2 Quote

lost Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Sound was a little harsh for Westlake, not sure if it was just the stream but they just sounded a little rougher than usual. A few stickouts and a few early players especially in the ballad. Not sure we'll see them in finals, but a lovely offering from them as always. Loved the staging, design and theming though. Quote
CPGuardDad Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 You can tell the Westlake kids are much better rested than their state prelims run. Really nice clean run. I hope that gets them through to finals cause I wanna watch in person again. I am always so impressed with the front walkover and rifle toss when I watch this show. jensspark and lost 2 Quote
FaultLineBlues Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 Box5's stream has some of the worst color grading I think I've ever seen in one of these. It seems dumb, but so many props that I've seen pop in person just look bad in the stream. Quote
