Wow Vandergrift satisfies both judging forms with the cleanliness they had last week at uil to the superior music and overall effect they have In their show definitely a very talented program.

Way to go Vandegrift! They were my pick for champion after watching finals. Actually the top 5 and captions are pretty much perfect. I loved The Woodlands' show, but Vandegrift did "out-music" them here, if that's a word. 😂

Now, the question is whether this will be a repeat of 2019, where the 2nd place BOA SA band wins Nationals and then everybody's arguing who would have actually won Nationals. Because I think that might be a possibility! 😂

Massive congratulations to Vandegrift on their first BOA San Antonio championship and setting a new record score! Even with Mike Howard moving up to a district-wide position they haven't lost a step these past two years and I'm sure everyone is ready for them to return to Grand Nationals and see if they can potentially win a second national title.

Congratulations to the Vandegrift Viper Marching Band and Vision Dance Company, I won't lie, this show wasn't doing it for me this season but what I saw this past week/weekend just blew me away. Congrats to the other 2 medalists Marcus and TWHS and all the other finalists!

Since Vandegrift moved to 6A in the 2016 realignment phase they have-

-2 UIL SMBC Titles (2022, 2023)

-4 UIL SMBC Medals (2018, 2021, 2022, 2023)

-1 BOA San Antonio Championship (2023)

-4 BOA San Antonio Medal (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023)

-1 BOA Grand Nationals Championship (2019)

This program is easily a gold standard in the entire country!

yeaaah the side by side music comparison w/ Vandy was not as close as i was hoping while recording it LOL. but im also thrilled tw has cracked a 96 for the 3rd season in a row!!! awesome job guys!!! and i think music will be stronger relative to Nats field than BOA SA field anyway.
