Westwood needed those couple days of rest and rehearsal so bad. That was definitely their best run of the season.

Hearing y'all say that about Westwood makes me so happy. I was in a meeting and didn't get a chance to see them, but I of course love them unconditionally. They had their last practice last night and the parents were all emotional. It was so sweet to see on social media. So happy for them.

The Crockett sax soloist was INSANELY good oh my gosh!!! And what an adorable show from Crockett - well done!

Good to see Crockett at competitions again. I have great memories of them at UIL State in the late 1980's when they were one of the best marching bands in Texas. I believe they were 2nd in 1988 when only 5 bands were selected for finals.

Round Rock - they didn’t have me in the first half, I’m not gonna lie - BUT their ballad really peaks super beautifully and the closing was just fantastic!! I love when a band really waits until the end to give us their all and Round Rock did that so perfectly! Bravo!

i think it's funny they've brought in all the Indiana ppl to judge music here lol. also seeing Jay Kennedy again, ruh roh lol. isn't he the one who had FloMo not even making finals in Music GE in 2021? that was interesting!!! lol

Vista was really solid! That Through the Fire and the Flames closer is super fun!

Has anyone today seen both Westwood AND Round Rock? Interested to see how people think they compare.

I quite enjoyed CTJ's show. The flamingos running around the field and the flamingo formations were fun. 

I can't help but think though that being fun hurts them. It always seems to me that fun shows are penalized by judges.

CTJ has one of the most unique and just downright fun shows I've seen in a long time. Kudos!

I think they both had their best runs of the season respectively. Hard to compare the two when their shows and styles are completely different but I’m confident they were both executed well enough to where we’ll see them both in finals.

I agree. The show is fun and the show has great moments but the visual I think is what's going to hold them back.

I loved it too, which is partially why I can't help but think the judges will be harsh on it. Seems like the shows I think are the most entertaining get beat up by the judges.

United was solid!

You can really tell the kids have great visual awareness and stage presence - so the visual definitely was the highlight for me. The soloists in the ballad were fantastic and the woodwind feature in the closer was really clean!

I thought they did a fantastic job! They looked clean, sounded great, and did a good job of really stretching the field. The soloists were on point and seemed to be having a great time. The book fire "trick" was really neat!

Great, big sounds overall. I’m a sucker for woodwind runs so I loved the run/feature they did in the closer! That book looking prop with the fire coming out of it was freaky 😮 lol. I thought the brass did well with the rite of spring triple tonguing feature. They sound like they’ve done a good job at refining their performance because it was very solid and clean all around, imo
