Does anyone know if Azle is just not doing UIL area/state this year? I’m very surprised they are still on here considering it’s the day of 5A area, but maybe this year they are more boa focused?

I think Bridgeland has the director from cy falls. Keep in mind this was the same director who brought Cy-Falls to state and BOA San Antonio finals so no wonder bridgeland is making it so far!

it's definitely possible, but it won't be easy. Here's my early thoughts for this comp, no specific placements except for 1st

1st: CTJ (caption sweep)

2nd/3rd: M.G. Johnson, Dripping Springs

4th-10th: Lake Ridge, James Martin, Braswell, Rock Hill, Clear Brook Wylie, Azle

Last 2 spots: Mckinney, New Barnfuls, Cypress Falls, Winston Churchill, Harker Heights

If you’re putting Churchill, McKinney, and New Braunfels in that category, heights stands no chance if I’m being so fr 💀

Lol. As a Heights alum I can relate to your hopelessness. Especially since there hasn’t been significant improvement since I graduated. They’re getting better, just unnoticeably so.

Falls for sure is still recovering from the loss of mcanear and for sure a pretty not so okay season last year but from a couple early season performances ive seen it looks like they are really making changes for the better. I think its very possible for this year to be the comeback falls has been waiting for and if not certainly in the next few years we will see it happen

I’ve been rooting for falls, they’ve lost an amazing director and we’re heavily impacted by Harvey, so I feel like this year is their year.

Hey you never know they could surprise us

Seeing how they couldn’t even make finals in Converse and got beat by Cove I can honestly predict they are not going to make finals. I can also guarantee that the next few years will be rough for them as their current head director is retiring

plus the opening of Chaparral HS kind of wrecked them

Not CTJ’s year. Dripping springs takes this for sure. In my opinion, you have Churchill to low. They just took first overall at Vista Ridge beating McNeil, Brandeis, O’Connor and Lake Belton.
