I think we probably will! I doubt Wakeland will win again simply because of the director change, but id love to be wrong. Id probably currently have Keller winning, but at this point, so many different bands could snag a win!

As if this contest couldn’t be any more stacked, Fossil Ridge is also going! So it looks like all 4 KISD bands will be here this year.

💀There’s no freaking way!!! Making predictions for this comp will be IMPOSSIBLE!! And considering how well of a season they had last year being the first out of finals at area, they could really pull up here and do some serious damage! Can’t wait for this comp!

Yeah, I know right. At this point, I’m more excited for Prosper than Bedford. Let’s just see how many more heavy hitters we can get at this comp. Just imagine if the LISD north bands went to this comp. Most likely not though because they have UIL Region that same day.

My top 12 as of now are the with subbing Henny in for either Boyd or CB, I honestly don’t see, at least as of now, these 2 beating Hendrickson, but I’m not gonna try and do a full placement list till the season starts.

Look, I dont even agree with them a day later. This event is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to predict because there will be bands that may place in the 20's that is finals worthy.

I definitely would make the case for Forney, henny of course will, but I don’t know about Mckinney North. While they had a fantastic season, waco last year was their first boa comp, and it was stacked, but not nearly on this level. I also agree about Boyd, and I think both of them will be part of the first few out of finals. Forney definitely has a shot, but will need to bring it.

Here's what I'm currently thinking, not going to make placement preds till we get closer: 

Top 5: Keller, LD Bell, Timber Creek, Waxahachie, Wakeland 

Next 5: Keller Central, Mustang, Prosper, Hendrixson, SLC 

Fighting for last two spots: Aledo, Duncanville, Mckinney Boyd/North, Forney, Clear Brook, Rock Hill

Finalist Potential: Highland Park, Berkner, Lake Highlands, Rockwall, Sachse, Tom Glen, Fossil Ridge, Walnut Grove 

 Possible but pretty unlikely: Creekview, Grapevine, Mckinney

I can’t wait to go as well! I’m not gonna be making any preds for placement until like the night before, as hopefully we don’t have the full roster yet

I’ll probably make mine after DFW, considering the bit of overlap there is with the bands attending here and there. Apparently there are STILL some groups yet to be announced going haha

We got that last year with Wakeland, I find it pretty likely that they'll be repeat champs especially with their new director and show. I do think the most likely to overtake them is Keller though.

I would be very surprised if Lake Highlands doesn't make finals- the new director they hired is rapidly turning that program into something very very very special

It’s for sure possible, but I’d say there’s probably 10 or so bands who I’d say are better over all, but I definitely have them in the range of being one of the last 2 or so bands to make finals. The depth of this contest is so large, and considering it’s their first boa comp since idk when, they will really have to bring it, but also have a show that does well with boa.

Bro, Lake Highlands too!?!?!?!?! At this point, I’ve given up on making predictions for this comp. Pretty much every single band that is attending are finals worthy…

Keller had a parent meeting Friday night, and it sounds like their motivation for going to Prosper instead of Bedford has to do with the fall break that KISD is doing next year and wanting to give their students and parents a few days off.  It will be interesting to see if having 4-5 days of no rehearsal hurts them or having 4-5 days of rest and recharge gives them an edge.
