Iplaydadrum Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Wow. Percussion being its own score really killed CTJ's chances of making finals. Quote
Miyazuu Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Regan and Round Rock carrying the weight of Area D on their shoulders this year 💀 It's a shame CTJ was 1st out, and it feels like Westwood was put in a big crunch (St. Louis > State) with little payout. This really is an interesting year for state 😵💫 I wonder what things are going to look like for BOA now that some bands won't be attending. Quote

Nny14 Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Honestly pretty expected results other than I do not understand UIL percussion judging. I'd love to see this forum if Marcus wins tomorrow lol Quote

AWildAltoSax Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Cypress Woods seems very low again. (relation to 2021 season) Very confusing this year. BandDad4 1 Quote

Tubalord11 Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Some shocking results to say the least, but HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Cy-Fair and Bridgeland!!! I hope the kids at CTJ are doing okay, come prove us wrong and do great at BOA San Antonio!!! BandFan59 Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Congratulations to all the finalist bands! I haven't been keeping up as much this year as I would have liked but it's exciting to see two new finalists in Bridgeland and Cy-Fair! That said I feel for the students over at CTJ being the first ones out. It's certainly a punch to the guts for a program of their pedigree and history, even in a transitional year, but I've no doubt they'll come back strong at San Antonio and Grand Nationals. MarchingBandOG Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Congrats to all 43 of these bands! Just being here should say enough about the caliber of players and programs. Good luck to those that are playing tomorrow! I can't wait to see you all live! AWF2014 and JazzRun 2 Quote
