bluebellbrass07 Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 ^agreed^ so im thinking this thread is pretty much dead and we are never going to get shirts. Quote

Trumpet Master Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 I guess i can just do the banner instead. Everybody just PM me your screen names so i can add them to the banner. Good luck with UIL C and SR! Quote
euro_euph06 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Wow...almost 3 months....and still no shirt. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 So... what ever happened to this idea? Quote
Fortisimo Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Alright, check it out, I wrote us a "TX Bands Fanfare". It's got 5 trumpet parts; pick whichever one is best suited to you and get it to where you can play it, should we ever get the chance to do so at BOA or sumthin. Oh, and first part goes up high. To a double G. Worst comes to worst, take down the stuff you can't play. But also remember we need people on low parts as well. Here's the score: Score Here's an audio rendering of it using trumpet synths (so you know what it should sound like): Audio Quote
gavinrh Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 wow. i dont think people are going to be able to play that. that and nobody will want to play the bottom three parts. Quote
Fortisimo Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Come on, really. Other than the double G, and the long high E it's not that tough, really. A little bit of endurance- it's only what, 16 or 17 measures, and there's nothing really all that technical either. Like I said, take it down if ya gotta- maybe I can get some of our guys to play those parts then. Perhaps we should elect for different parts online now so we can be sure to have them divided up right. And heck, I'll play fifth or fourth part; they have some of the most interesting stuff, like their dissonant adittions to the chord structures and whatnot. Quote
TRtrumpet Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 My band doesn't do BOA, haha but yeah that's a cool idea. Quote
Shiloh Phoenix Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I don't like the end. try doing a suspended chord until the last note, then end on an accented major chord for 1 beat. john williams style. Quote
Fortisimo Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Hmmm, i can't change it right now, but I will consider revising it. Perhaps it will be a sus chord type resolve, but more coplex than the standard, because you're not hardcore unless you live hardcore. Quote
Trumpet Master Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 trumpetman1288, lets do this at our game this season. I think i can get first and third parts covered, maybe fourth and we can do it at the section leader introductions! Quote
trumpetman1288 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 That'd be pretty sweet...except I doubt that my old man (and by old man, I mean my director) would let us do that. But if aliens decide to abduct him and they send in a clone of him, then sure, we can do it! Quote

We can't use it if it's already a shirt!!! i'm for the egos idea && i also can't choose between the names of the active trumpets or the hs bands. I guess if we did the peoples name's, i think we should put something big on the front otherwise it will look boring! I think it would be the same if we did the band names b/c i don't know how many bands would be on there, but i would assume ALOT!!! -Baylee AIM: heyitsBAYLEE LD Bell Trumpet Chick The Remaining Quote
