Galena Park ISD Marching Festival 2023 (Sept. 30)

The Galena Park ISD Marching Festival will be taking place on Sept. 30th at the Galena Park ISD Athletic Stadium. This is a 1 round only format contest. The awards are based on the classifications. So, there are awards for 4A, 5A, & 6A. Anyone got some predictions for this event?

Lumberton wins 4A, places in top 3 overall

I think Lumberton will take 4A, but this festival almost never releases the points total of all the classes combined. If they did release those, I'm not completely sure if Lumberton would be top 3. The band normally peaks later in the season, so top 5 sounds a little better.

Also it appears that Huntsville has dropped this event.

This leaves only:

• 3 (4A) Bands
• 2 (5A) Bands *Excluding Galena Park
• 12 (6A) Bands *Excluding North Shore

It's a shame that this festival is smaller than usual. Normally there would be around 30 bands with most being 5A/6A.

Is there a clearer recap for the 6A like for the 4A and 5A?  It's really hard to make out the individual judges' scores.
