Shiloh Phoenix Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 dang I need to revive this thread. Richland has a mic'd tuba solo/soli on concert tubas this year, and I get to play it! Pretty cool. Quote
MartinHorn Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 Tuba girls are a rarity in this day and age, and seeing how are tubas act, I know why we don't have any at our school. Quote

mafia575 Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 i play the tuba.... heres a quick question do yoU think that the tuba section at your school is better than the other sections. i know that my tuba section as a whole is alot better than the other sections in my band. any thoughts? Quote
whitewing09 Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 ugh ours isnt lol im one of the only people who friggen play gosh its so annoying Quote
bowietuba07 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I'm one of FIVE female tuba players at bowie. Im first chair in the Wind Ensemble and the second chair is also a girl. Last year all the section leaders were girls too. I guess you could say we rock. Plus we aren't manly and gross which is always a plus for any female tuba player. However, we are by far one of the laziest sections, making us one of the worst sections. We have mostly scared freshmen so we are not the best section in the band, but we dont seem to mind tooo much. Shiloh Phoenix Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 at our school, all our brass players are pretty awesome. My best friends are trumpets. Quote
thomasabernathy Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I used to play trumpet, but by half way through freshman year marching season, I got sick of it. I WAS going to quit band, but then the opportunity to play tuba arose, so i took it. The tuba saved my band career. -tear- Quote

gavinrh Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 haha we have something called the dungeon too, but our's is the girl's weight room. Quote

Shiloh Phoenix Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 hey, hebron tuba dude, why are you guys so quiet in the retreat block? I leaned over and asked a black dude in your section what your football record was and he gave us numbers on his hands. do ya'll have to run or something when you talk? Quote
Mculbert07 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I'm friends with a few tubas. Does that count? Quote
