lol, we deserve the crap that we get.  Our football team (Clemens) was first in the area going into the playoffs (anyone from madison, stay out of my thread =p), and yet the band, with our BEST performance of the year, got 46th out of 58(?).  So our band sucks compared to our sports.

But our athletes are powerfully full of themselves.

Ouch... see, we may not be the greatest band to have ever graced the marching field, but our football team has always sucked, so the coaching staff and whatnot all have a high respect for us because of our various victories. In fact, over the summer they had some of the football players observe our 'work ethic', which I must say, may not be the best in the world either, but hey, its better than theirs.

Oh, and Boyscouts, NHS, YAPA, and Academic UIL stuff later.... I think that's it.

Our coaches dont like us, well one coach does and thats just cuz he was in band and football during his time, but for example the journalism team went around the school asking if the band should be able to ring the traditional victory bell when we win and one of the coaches was like no only football players should and said crap about how only they deserve to ring it. and it was just a bunch of ignorant bs cuz we asked the history of the victory bell and it has nothing to do with football it was the old school bell back when the dinosaurs roamed around and they put it up at the football field to represent the school pride not something for the football players who barely win. it just makes me mad that people degrade band so much we work hard and deserve some respect

I'm a member of my band's Ultimate Frisbee Cult. It's our disguise we use to say we have lives, but I think everybody knows. It's also funny because we play at a sports complex called "the Club," so as a joke to my parents, Ill yell out, "I'm going Clubbing! See you when I'm sober!"

Man, I'm kinda weird, too!

I either found myself playing a video game, reading a book, or participating in very random activities with other band kids; tennis, wandering around town, etc.

Now, I can't really talk at all; music IS life now. =) Of course, I skip practicing now and then to watch a movie or something.
